Music has been a big part of Larry's life. Taking after his Father & Professional Drummer: Larry Thompson Sr., while attending Souers Middle School, Larry played Percussion for the Concert Band. Then attending Timken Senior High School, Larry continued his career as a percussionist for the Marching Band, Pep Band & Concert Band. Thompson Entertainment was founded in 1995 as Madd Music D.J. Service. Prior to launching Madd Music D.J. Service, Larry Thompson Jr. idolized North Canton, Ohio based 95.9 W.N.P.Q. radio personality "J.R. Richards" during the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" era. Larry recalls getting a Karaoke machine for his 14th Birthday and Roleplaying in his bedroom as Radio DJ "J.R. Richards". With his sibling Casey at his side as his roleplaying co-host for their Radio show that went no further then the bedroom walls. From that moment on, Casey new that her brother would become a DJ. Weeks later, Larry was the designated DJ for many gatherings mainly at Faircrest Park in Canton, Ohio. Today, Thompson Entertainment is a Canton based Professional Mobile Disc Jockey and Karaoke service that specializes in: Weddings, Corporate Functions, Sweet Sixteen's, & Birthday Parties.
